Proving agency work
The proof of work documents a measured change between two points in time: which findings existed before, which were fixed afterwards, which were added and how the values per audit area changed. Both states come from audit runs of the same order, none from a self-declaration.
What is measured
These audit areas carry the topic. Each leads to its checks with explanation, measurement path and remedy.
- Accessibility (WCAG 2.2 AA)Measured in a real browser across three device profiles. A substantial share of these criteria cannot be decided by a machine; those stay visibly open until a human auditor has ruled on them.86 articles
- Data protection & cookiesWhat loads before any consent, whether pressing “reject” actually stops it, cookies set before a choice was made, remotely loaded web fonts, and the presence of a privacy notice.15 articles
- Search engine optimisationTitles and descriptions, heading structure, internal linking, structured data.20 articles
- Loading performanceLoading behaviour, responsiveness, layout stability, measured rather than estimated.8 articles
What the proof documents
- Before and after as numbers per audit area, plus the list of fixed and new findings with location.
- Both runs go against the same rule set; the proof names rule-set version and date.
- The proof is publicly reachable and carries its own notice; it is not a seal.
What it leaves open
Who brought about the change is in no measurement, and whether a contract is fulfilled is a legal question. The proof shows verifiable numbers from before and after; the interpretation stays with agency and client.
How it comes about
- First run before the work, second run after the work, both from the audit file of the website.
- The proof is generated from the two runs and has its own address the client can open.
