Rich schema: which markup AI systems actually use
Structured data turns text into machine-readable statements: who the publisher is, when something was published, what question is being answered here. The check verifies whether markup exists that goes beyond the minimum.
- For an answer system, the difference is substantial: with no markup, it has to infer from the text who's making a claim. With markup, it's simply stated.
- Connected markup works better than isolated markup: when the article, publisher, and breadcrumb path reference each other, a structure emerges instead of separate pieces of data.
